1st try at a Celtic knot. It's part of a set for my friend.

Here's a close up of the details. I should have used better plyers, and a larger gauge of wire for the base.

Coming up, making my own chains and necklaces.
See you there.

Have you ever heard of the saying, "Don't put all your eggs in 1 basket"?

This is my creation. I probably won't make another without more skills and perhaps a change in the weave. It took me hours to make this.

The rim of the basket is about 1 inch in diameter (maybe a little bit more)

It has 12 white cat's eye beads wired inside it.

Enjoy

I have been trying to make a really pretty Chinese knot.

Here are the early attempts.
It didn't attach well.

Second try. At least the wires didn't flop.

Here's my latest trial. It's silver covered copper over a clear crystal. They're going to be earrings when I finish them.

Better, huh?

Ok, so I finally took pictures of my wire jewelry.

I'm so glad I waited until now. Some of my earlier pieces that I thought were pretty decent, under the unforgiving camera lens showed many errors I didn't see with my naked eye. I think if I had taken the pictures back when I completed them, I would have gotten discouraged and perhaps stopped trying. Now I can see growth in my abilities. So here are a few early copper wire wrapped stone pendants.

This is viking weave on the backside of the one pictured below.

I was so proud of this one. It's a mess.

At least my weave is better now.

blue stone. not sure what kind

I was so happy with how this came out.
ugh!

This is my latest trial of wire wrapping. This one I like.
So at least my photo skills are coming along.

Peace to all,

Here's a comparison of an earlier piece of jewelry I made

I would love to get anyone's input on my progress. I'm still working on my camera skills. I need better lighting.
I was trying to follow a pattern in a jewelry magazine. I didn't (at the time) have the correct wire gauge or type, so this is an approximation of what was in the directions.

I think I'll attempt it again a little later.

I'm working on a design especially for my Mom. I'm not sure if she'll wear it, but I wanted her to know I'm thinking about her. We never know how much time we truly have with our parents.

May peace be with you.
Please send a comment. I'm not certain I have the correct settings on it yet, but I check back later.

A couple of my newest trial pieces: a celtic knot and wrapped ring

My first try on a Celtic knot. I even made the chain

I made this the second time I tried to follow the directions in my Wirework
book by Armstrong.

Here's the backside of it.
I'm pretty proud of the results. I can definitely see an improvement in my abilities.

Inspiration from DC and other places

While in DC last month, I took pictures of a bunch of stuff most people wouldn't understand. They were for inspiration for my jewelry. Let me see if I can post a few. You'll see what I mean.

First I want to show you 2 pictures of the same scene. I call them, "Now you see it, Now you don't." Playing with our new camera.

Now here's a few of my inspiration pictures.
